• James Nolan

    James started practicing employment law in 1996 at a local CAB before moving to a commercial law firm where he was employed as head of the employment Law Department.  James set up a leading law center in 2002, where he has been the manager ever since.

    James has over 15 years expertise of practicing employment law, has always carried his own extensive and varied caseload, including representation at Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal.

    Furthermore, James has extensive experience and knowledge of managing both public and   private sector contracts.  

    In addition, James as the senior Legal Aid Supervisor has been managing and supporting a team of up to 8 full time litigator caseworkers, with their own extensive and mixed Employment and Discrimination caseloads, who also represent extensively at Employment Tribunals.

    Shereen Murphy

    Shereen gained her Law Degree (LLB Hons) in 2007 and studied for a Masters in Business & Commercial Law at John Moores University in 2008.  Shereen completed her Legal Practice Course at Chester College of Law in 2009. 

    Shereen is the supervisor of a legal team specializing in Employment Law and HR and her primary responsibility is to oversee the legal advice given by the other caseworkers and to supervise and support the legal team on a daily basis. 

    Shereen also has an extensive caseload of her own and frequently represents at Employment Tribunals, most recently in a high value disability discrimination and unfair dismissal claim, in which she was successful, and another high profile hearing during which she successfully argued a new point of law on behalf of her client. 

    Shereen specializes in complex cases such as those involving TUPE transfers, discrimination/harassment issues and whistleblowing and has extensive knowledge of all areas of employment law.

  • Eva Petersen

    Eva gained her degree in Law (LLB Hons) at the University of Liverpool in 2002, completed the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) and was Called to the Bar in 2003.  Eva is a Member of the Inner Temple.  Eva has many years’ experience working for established firms across Merseyside in Criminal Law and Employment Law. Eva has represented at numerous Employment Tribunals and has a particular interest in Maternity, Paternity and Sex Discrimination.
